The client
Obtener is an Auckland-based same-day delivery service. Its idea is simple: “Shop online, skip the wait – same-day delivery from your favourite stores.” Customers browse products from several retailers in one place and have them delivered to their door the same day.
The challenge
A delivery marketplace has to work for three groups at once. Shoppers need an easy way to browse and order from multiple stores. Retailers need a new channel to reach more customers. Independent drivers need the flexibility to pick up work and earn on their own terms. All three depend on accurate, real-time information about every order.
What we built
- A customer app where people sign up, browse products from multiple retailers, place an order and track it from start to finish.
- A retailer experience that lets partner stores offer same-day delivery and reach new customers.
- A driver experience so independent drivers can take on deliveries flexibly.
- Real-time tracking that connects all three, so everyone can see where each order is.
- A marketing website explaining how Obtener works for customers, retailers and drivers.
The outcome
Obtener is preparing to launch on the App Store and Google Play, with the marketplace ready to connect Auckland shoppers, retailers and drivers around same-day delivery.
